De La Salle produced one of our most lavish productions to date when we showcased Oliver! in February.  All the money raised was donated to the Northern Ireland Hospice.  The idea for the musical came from then Head Boy, Jason Magee who wanted a memorable way of marking the end of his seven years at De La Salle.  "Underpinned by my enthusiasm in drama and music, He has since become Assistant Director and have taken great delight in watching our whole school, both staff and students dedicate both afternoons and weekends to create Oliver," said Jason who starred as Fagin in this production.  "What made our play even more poignant for me was the fact that we decided to donate all monies raised to charity - namely the Northern Ireland Hospice.

"The immense support that pupils and staff, both past and present have received from them is infallible; it is a charity that is close to all our hearts and one well worth supporting."  Jason believes Oliver! was as memorable as other major productions at De La Salle in previous years, which have included Bugsy Malone, Sister Act, Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. "I, along with the rest of my year can honestly say that it was a very sad farewell to the best years of our lives as we headed for new heights.

Included in the production were several members of the Teaching staff at De La Salle and you may well spot some of them in the gallery.
